People today are wondering and trying to predict the time of the return of Christ. According to the word of God no one knows except the Father; not even the Son. Yes, we see prophecies being fulfilled, but no one knows the day or the hour. Matthew 24:36 says, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” Years ago our ancestors believed Christ’s return was soon, but since He hasn’t returned people have become discouraged, unbelieving and have even fallen away from the church. But we have to remember what it says in 2 Peter 3:8: “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the LORD, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” God does not look at time the way we do. Our life time is but a blink of the eye to God. We are born, play through childhood, go to school, become adults and grow old; all in the blinking of an eye to God. Many lives have come and gone, buy all this means nothing to God because He has power over life and death. Let’s not be deceived as in the day of Noah when people were eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah entered the ark. We need to be about our Father’s business as if Christ is to return today, this very hour. What will He find you doing?
