Thanksgiving

November is the month of Thanksgiving,” the giving of thanks. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us to “give thanks in everything. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us.” We are to always be thankful, from the time we wake up, to the time we go to bed, and all through the day, be thankful. We have so much to be thankful for. God sent His one and only Son to die for us so that we could be reconciled back to Him. He gave us a new life, and an abundant life. We serve a God who is forgiving, loving, merciful, gracious and faithful; faithful even when we arent, and promises to never leave us or forsake us. He tells us nothing can separate His love from us. He is always there anytime, day or night. He calls us friend; a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Can you think of anytime in your life where there is no need to be thankful? Even in trials and tribulations, James says “to count it all joy.” Remember “Thanksgiving” is not just one day. Thanksgiving is every day.
