Ready?

If Jesus Christ, our LORD and Savior returned today, would you be ready? Would He find you living a life that is pleasing to Him? Have you lived in obedience to His will? Would He find you faithful? What would He find you doing? We don’t know when He is returning, but “the time is nearer now, then when we first believed.” And scripture says, “He will come like a thief in the night” (2 Peter 3:10). In Matthew 24:36, 44 Jesus said, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, buy My Father only.” v44) “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

We cannot hide from God. He sees all, and He knows all. We can’t be “holy” on Sunday, and serve satan the rest of the week. We have choice to live for God, and serve Him, or live for satan and serve him. We can’t do both. When Christ returns we don’t want Him to find us doing anything that we are ashamed of. We want to hear Him say, “Well done my good and faithful servant,” NOT “I never knew you; depart from me.”

The time is now to repent, to turn away from sin and wrong doings, and turn to God. It’s time to give God your best, even in praise and worship. Submit your life, and all you are to Him today. To say I will do it tomorrow may be too late; any day can be your last.
