One Weak

“One week without food makes one weak.” Just as we need physical food for physical strength, we need spiritual food for spiritual strength. When feeding our physical body we must eat healthy; being conscious of what goes in. The same is true of our spiritual body; we have to be mindful of what we allow in. God desires us to be sanctified, set apart and holy for Him. When we allow anything and everything to enter our physical bodies, we are prone to sickness and disease. When we allow anything and everything to enter our spiritual bodies our spirit man becomes weak, our prayer life and our fellowship with God diminishes. We slowly fall away from the presence of God, and we become confused and lost. Then we become easy prey for the enemy. We know in John 10:10 that “the enemy comes to steal, and to kill and to destroy; But Jesus came that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly.”

In order to keep our spirit man strong, we must feed on spiritual food daily, which is the Word of God. Isaiah 55:2 says, “Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? And your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. And psalm 34:8a says, “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good. “ So, the more you eat (read), the hungrier you get (the stronger your spirit man grows.)
