Yoked Together

A yoke is fastened to two oxen; not one. They are yoked together to pull the heavy load. When we are yoked to Jesus, no matter what the problems, trials, labor or heartaches, we do not have to bear them alone. In Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus said, “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” v29) “Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; For I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” v30) “For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” By taking His yoke, we enter into submission to His will, and acknowledge His Lordship in every area of our lives, and He is able to train us in His ways. We are yoked to the One who gives sufficient grace for every time of need. In 1 Peter 5:7 it says, “Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.” There is no need for us to bear the burdens when He is willing and able to bear them.

Isn’t it better to be yoked to the One who created everything? Who is in control, and knows the end from the beginning than trying to carry the load alone.

Start today being yoked to Jesus. Give Him all your burdens and cares. He can uphold them better than we can.
